We’ve created a space that helps kids settle in with ease. First visits include a gentle cleaning, brushing tips, and a care plan tailored to your child. There are movies on the ceiling, a treasure box at the end, and an atmosphere that doesn’t feel clinical. Parents, we’ve made it smooth for you too.
Parents love it here:
• Free parking
• Text message check-in
• Stroller-friendly layout
• Curbside check-in
• On-call emergency care after hours
This isn’t your typical dental office. We’ve built an experience that feels more like a beach day than a check-up. Kids get to choose their sunglasses, kick back with a show, and leave smiling. Parents tell us they feel respected and never rushed or pressured.
No sales pitch, just straightforward dental care. Our board-certified pediatric dentists focus on prevention and practical solutions. We always explain our recommendations, so you’re never left wondering why something’s needed.
We offer care that grows with your child, focusing on comfort, prevention, and building confidence. Treatments include:
Prophylaxis (Teeth Cleaning)
Routine cleanings every six months help prevent cavities and support healthy gums. Kids enjoy the bright, playful atmosphere while we gently clean their teeth. These visits also give us a chance to track growth and answer your questions.
Topical Fluoride
Professional fluoride applications make teeth more resistant to decay. While toothpaste and some drinking water contain fluoride, the higher-strength version we apply in-office gives your child an extra layer of protection that lasts.
Dental Sealants
Sealants are a thin coating placed on the chewing surfaces of back teeth where cavities are most likely to form. They’re quick, painless, and can protect your child’s teeth for years.
Tooth Colored Fillings
When cavities need attention, we use composite resin that matches natural tooth color. The repair blends in seamlessly, restoring strength without drawing attention.
Bonding
Childhood comes with tumbles and tooth bumps. For small chips or cracks in front teeth, bonding restores the shape and appearance using a tooth-colored material. The fix is fast, comfortable, and long-lasting.
Root Canal Treatment
If a baby tooth becomes badly decayed or injured, a root canal may be needed to save it. Preserving primary teeth helps maintain space for adult teeth and supports normal chewing and speech.
Tooth Extractions
When a tooth can’t be saved, or when it blocks healthy development, extraction may be the best choice. We make the process gentle and reassuring, keeping kids comfortable throughout.
Digital Impressions
Say goodbye to messy trays. Our digital scanner captures precise images of your child’s teeth in just seconds, making orthodontic planning and restorative treatment easier.
Dental Emergencies
Toothaches, injuries, or sudden pain can happen at any time. We’re available to guide you through what to do and to see your child quickly if urgent care is needed.
Orthodontic Intervention
Through our Ortho Suite, we offer early orthodontic evaluations and treatment, including expanders, braces, and Invisalign®. Starting early can simplify care later and set your child up for a confident smile.
Child-Friendly Sedation
Some children need extra help to feel relaxed during treatment. We offer safe sedation options that reduce anxiety and make visits easier for both kids and parents.
Restorative Treatment
When teeth are lost or damaged, restorative care helps rebuild function and appearance. Our approach keeps your child’s smile healthy while supporting natural development.
Healthy Habit Coaching
We go beyond the chair by teaching kids and parents how to care for teeth at home. From brushing techniques to diet tips, we make oral health part of everyday
From baby teeth to braces, we’re with you through every stage.
Dr. Derek Blank and Dr. Roma Gandhi bring both skill and warmth to every visit. Whether they’re writing names in chalk or rolling scooters down the hallway, the team brings energy and heart to pediatric care. Kids respond to their calm, upbeat style, and parents do too.
Dr. Blank is a board-certified pediatric dentist and Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. After completing his dental degree at the University of Maryland, he went on to advanced training at Johns Hopkins Hospital and University of Maryland Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. Families often mention his calm, upbeat style and the way he makes kids feel at ease from the first hello. When he’s not in the office, Dr. Blank loves spending time with his wife and three kids, and can usually be found cycling, skiing, or cheering on the Cleveland Browns.

Dr. Roma is also board-certified and completed her pediatric dentistry residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where she gained extensive experience caring for medically complex patients. She also earned master’s degrees in both science and public health. Known for her patient and friendly approach, Dr. Roma connects quickly with kids and parents alike. Outside of dentistry, she stays busy chasing her two young boys around Rockville’s parks and sneaking in Peloton rides when she can.

We accept many PPO plans, including:

Parents across Rockville tell us the same thing: their kids love coming here. That’s no small thing when it comes to the dentist.
